About Course
In an Islamic society, the Masjid is not just a place of worship—it is the heart of the community. Naturally, the Imam of the Masjid plays a vital role as a religious guide, role model and educator. Entrusted with leading the community in Salah and providing religious guidance, an Imam must possess sound knowledge and a strong understanding of Islamic teachings. With this in mind, the Imamat Course has been designed to prepare aspiring Imams by equipping them with the essential religious knowledge and skills required to fulfil this honourable responsibility with confidence and integrity. This course covers a wide range of fundamental topics that are necessary for anyone stepping into the role of an Imam. These include correct Quranic recitation and understanding key terminologies, Islamic beliefs, rules of Taharah, Salah and funeral Salah, as well as important rulings related to Zakah, fasting, marriage and divorce. Participants will also learn about Halal and Haraam animals and general Quranic knowledge, helping them become well-rounded in their understanding of religious practices. By the end of the course, students will be able to recite the Holy Quran correctly, lead Salah and provide accurate religious guidance. They will develop a firm understanding of Islamic beliefs and jurisprudence, ensuring the validity of worship for themselves and others. Moreover, this course empowers participants with the knowledge and communication skills required to effectively answer questions and address concerns brought to them by community members.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for anyone aged at least 16 years who can accurately recite the Holy Quran by looking at it and can read and write Urdu very well.
